This one was really just Paul (with some guitar from Andy Boland) -
back in the days before he met Phil. The result is a weird blend
of electronica and some kind of stoner bedroom adventure. Not
quite what you would hear from the JIC today.
All Joint Intelligence Committee downloads

Due to the JIC's copious output, a lot of our music won't be heard unless
we post it here. Therefore we hope you enjoy these little intelligence

An hour of live music recorded at the party we played in Bradford back
in May 2006. It's here for download, podcast, wormcast or whatever you fancy; just a little gift from us
to you. All I'll say is that it came out of an odd evening where we contended with all manner of technical
challenges and still came out as sane as we went in. Enjoy!
P.S. Apparently this particular mp3 is getting record downloads so it
would be really lovely if you were to drop us a line or send us
a message afterwards just to say "hi". Would be great
to talk to more of
you
and get the vibe as to whether we should keep
putting up files in this format. (You wouldn't believe how much
stuff we have in the vaults).
A version of this track appeared on "In Session" and it's
still one of our favourites. Perhaps it's the quirky Virus vocal wavetable
sequence or Phil's scratchy guitar loop, but either way it's fun.
From the phased drums to the weird scales, you know this one is a little
different. Phil's ebow soars beautifully and at about 5 mins, this version
is much shorter than the CD version too but we like it.
We have yet to perform Andrew the Wapiti or Dave the Caribou but
perhaps they'll be along in time. For now, here's a new one: Barney the
Elk that we are working on. See what you think - comments welcome in the forum,
as always.
